My daughter's car dropped off by RAC tow truck on a Saturday night. Garage dealt with problem on opening Monday. Very efficient and gave good explanation of problem. Nice, friendly service
Avoid this dishonest Garage
This garage returned my 2002 BMW 525 after fitting a replacement turbo. It lasted about 30 miles then failed again. I had to return it to the garage, a round trip of 30 miles despite the turbo being fitted incorrectly by the garage and them being at fault. Again they refused to drop the car back with the statement "you need a passport its so far"
The next day I drove my car but the smell inside the car was unbearable. I opened the bonnet and found the air pipe for the heating and air conditioning and the filter box was loose and the brackets broken so engine fumes were being sucked directly into the interior. Again I phoned the garage who explained the problem was due to the car being smokey whilst the new turbo settled in. After many calls and messages they very reluctantly agreed to come to my address to inspect but stated that my car was poorly maintained and that any problems would be down to previous repairs.
When they eventually turned up I showed them the upto date full BMW service and repair history that they stated "wasn't worth the paper its written on" as these can be purchased from ebay along with the stamps. When I pointed out I had bought the car from a BMW dealer they then stated that they were far better than a BMW dealer (as the wives of the people who worked there brought there cars to Grosvenor) and it was probably them who had damaged this car. I again pointed out that to change the turbo they would have to have taken these parts off, (something they had initially denied) and that the two other faults with the car they had detailed as advise on the invoice, why had they not done so for the air pipe. The mechanic then put the car back together even though some parts were broken and showed me that now it would not come loose again, I asked why they hadn't done this even if the parts had been broken when they'd done the initial repair, again no satisfactory answer. They ran out of answers and were aggressive, I'll now have to go additional expense to get this fixed.
I advise you avoid this garage, you'll be disappointed by the service the shoddy repairs and the ridiculous excuses and dishonesty of the owner, Pete.
