Very poor

Taken in for breakdown and full service, was quoted one price and agreed to take it down. Three days later I go to pick the car up, being told that some parts where more expensive than he originally quoted.

Final bill was over one hundred pounds above agreed quote, although everything had been fitted without contacting me beforehand.

Paid up, not top happy about the price. But he had done a good job and addressed issues other mechanics had neglected.

Driving home found out my car radio was locked as the battery had been disconnected, he offered to fix this free of charge. He was unable to fix this and told me I would need to go to the main dealer. I requested for him to cover this cost, he refused at first but then agreed although not to pay VAT.

Would not use Autopoole again, and would advise others to look elsewhere.

Five Stars are not enough!

Is there such a person as a brilliant mechanic who actually has integrity?? Yes - his name is Richard Poole, owner of Auto Poole - not only that - he's a gentleman too! Thank you Richard for sorting out someone's broken unloved car and turning into a smooth, well running car that I will love and cherish! (...and I promise Richard - I will check the fluid levels regularly!!) If you are looking for someone who will NOT try to pull the wool over your eyes, and will look after you car for a good fair price then give Richard a call -but not too many of you please -otherwise I may have to book months in advance for a service! Thank again Richard

Fantastic service at very reasonable rates

I'd been told at my last MOT that my cam belt might need changing at around 70k miles, which it was approaching, but then I moved to the West Midlands and didn't fancy driving back down to Bristol to get the work done. So, I needed a new mechanic.

I was recommended Rich, at Auto Poole, by a friend and the service was fantastic. He explained to me what would happen to my car if the cam belt went unchecked and even showed me the belt he removed, which had started to wear on the side.

I know this wasn't a small job, but Rich completed it within a day and I paid less than I'd been quoted at my old garage too.

I intend to get my car serviced by Auto Poole soon.
